A New Dimension
Responsible Sea-Goats start the month with the Sun in pristine Virgo, your 9th house of the higher mind. On the 1st, a New Moon and Solar Eclipse in your 9th house highlights an urge for knowledge as you continue your journey for new experiences and adventure into fields that broaden your perception of the world. Explore different belief systems, religion, philosophy, customs and diversity of different cultures. You will appreciate significant times in history and how this plays out in your own interests. This can include works of art, museums, places of historical worship, and ancient archaeological discoveries. Some Caps may decide to travel, chase up law matters, or learn a new language.
From the 6th to the 9th, those born from the 5th to the 7th of January will experience greater motivation, undergo transformation in their identity, and take up opportunities for leadership in their field. Sea Goats in general will benefit from older people in authority assisting you along your career path. At the same time, you need to be realistic about your relationships with other people. From the 11th to the 12th, you may have deep-seated anger and frustration, mainly due to your inability to release your pent-up energy while engaged in work behind the scenes, or being restricted in some way that doesn’t allow you movement and freedom.
The 1st sees a New Moon and annular Solar Eclipse in Virgo, your 9th house of the higher mind.
This will be a difficult time to achieve your intellectual pursuits, particularly if your mind is plagued with doubts and confusion. Concentration could evade you in your studies, or you could experience travel disappointments and litigation problems. You may need to look to a new direction as benefic Jupiter leaves Virgo and enters Libra on the 9th. This is an important time of unexpected changes bringing a new dimension to what you had previously envisaged. Don’t be dissuaded from taking up opportunities in other fields of education, or with your overseas connections, interests in philosophy and the world at large.
The 16th sees a Full Moon and penumbral Lunar Eclipse in sociable Pisces, your 3rd house of communication. It is known as the Harvest Moon and is nearest to the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, the Vernal Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere (vernal denotes “Spring”) traditionally on the 21st. The Full Moon actually helps the harvest by providing more light at the right time. The September Full Moon is usually known as the Full Corn or Barley Moon because it traditionally corresponds with the time of harvesting corn and ripened barley.
This will be the last Lunar Eclipse of the year and will bring a culmination of events that happened back in March. This will be an exciting phase, giving you the drive to take on new avenues. This may involve a career restructure where you are working from home or behind the scenes. Your mental activities will be stimulated, so there’ll be no time for boredom. In fact your daily routine is likely to increase. Transport will be highlighted, as will mobility, chatter with neighbours, and involvement in your local community. You’ll be spiritually motivated, finalising studies and pursuing broader horizons.
On the 22nd, the Sun moves out of Virgo and into attractive Libra, your 10th house of career and ambitions. This will be a significant time for ambitious Capricorns as the Sun joins Venus and Jupiter in your 10th house. Your career path, aspirations and long-term plans are likely to thrive. Your public profile, status and professional image will be enhanced, giving you more recognition and success. This is the time to show your confidence, ability to take control in difficult situations and to be in favor with your employer and authority types. Enjoy the limelight! From the 25th to the 28th is a favourable time for Sea-Goats; you will feel optimistic, energized and ready to take on the world. Don’t overextend yourself by being overly confident in your abilities to impress those at the top.
Mercury, the Cosmic Scribe, remains retrograde in Virgo, your 9th house. Expect some hiccups in travel plans, overseas issues and adventurous pursuits. Put more effort into areas of study; double-check your itinerary, bookings and schedules. There could be hold-ups with publishing your work, legal matters to attend to, along with teaching and political or civil administration concerns. You could spend more time researching applied sciences, cultural diversity, or belief systems.
From the 1st to the 5th, with Mercury retrograde, adverse conditions and woes plague your progress. Remain vigilant and optimistic as you will enjoy different cultures, expanding your interests and horizons. You may also be involved in writing, publishing an article, or clearing the decks for exciting adventures. From the 12th to the 14th, although you will have plenty of mental energy, hidden concerns could create tension which will deplete your drive to complete your activities. This is no time to be a shrinking violet or unduly modest, dear Cap! From the 18th to the 26th, travel, studies, political and philosophical confusions and delays begin to clear. Use your intense concentration to complete mentally challenging topics and situations. Mercury turns direct on September 22nd, when you’ll see progress, and be back on track with your plans after October 7th.
Career and Ambitions
The Goddess Venus remains in attractive Libra, your 10th house of career and ambitions. With the entrance of Big Brother Jupiter into Libra on the 9th, there are greater things in store for the Sea-Goat. It’s an ideal time to do well in your profession, and in other areas of relationships, entertainment, creativity and beauty. You’ll not only climb the social ladder, but have fun at the same time with a chance to fall in love. It’s a great time for a promotion, a pay rise, or recognition. From the 16th to the 19th, make hay while the Sun shines and start reaping a few benefits, because things are about to change on the domestic scene, within your public profile, and your career.
On the 23rd, the Goddess steps into passionate Scorpio, your 11th house of friends, hopes and wishes. Your social life will take up more of your time and you’ll enjoy getting together with friends, groups and associations. If you’re single you might even fall for someone with whom you have a platonic relationship right now, or you might get involved with someone you meet through a group activity.
Mars Enters Capricorn
The War-God Mars remains in Sagittarius, your 12th house of secrets, sorrows and hidden motivations. You’ll feel like breaking out of the cage, but circumstances keep holding you back from getting on with things you want to do. This in turn could cause frustration and anger while you try to be patient and wait for things to change. Energy levels could be depleted, so a little rest won’t go astray. You need to improve your wellbeing. Hidden dilemmas, the past, secrets and fears could have you worrying needlessly. Set out to determine your subconscious drives and how they interplay with your current concerns. You might find comfort in extending your interests in the esoteric, psychology, metaphysics and meditation.
On the 27th the Warrior moves into Capricorn, your 1st house of personality. At last you can exert your physical energy, and be more motivated to get on with your personal needs. Mars is exalted in your sign, which can make you an emotional powerhouse. Try to maintain a positive attitude and a good mood; if you get angry, you’re likely to overreact and say things you’ll regret later. Use this energy in a positive fashion; sports, crafts, and other personal hobbies will help you focus on your aims, short and long term.
Jupiter Enters Libra
On September 9th, mighty Jupiter will start a new cycle in Libra, your 10th house of career and ambitions. This brings a year-long phase of remarkable good fortune, an excellent opportunity for career advancement, gaining recognition, aid from important people, and improving your public image. You’ll receive other benefits along the way, but refrain from big-noting yourself in your career capacity. You could step into another profession, such as the law, travel, publications, or hospitality. Make sure you go for what you want, because you deserve it! Your career and public position will expand, and a family member may also receive recognition, which in itself will be beneficial for you as you begin to actualise your long-term plans. Success may seem to fall in your lap, but don’t take your luck for granted. Whatever you gain with ease may just as easily be lost, if you do not take the responsibility, or ownership. Jupiter remains in Libra until October 9, 2017.
