One of such legend states that Valentine’s Day celebration originated because of a Christian priest, St. Valentine. He helped lovers to get married during the reign of Roman Emperor Claudius in 269 A.D.

As per the legend, Valentine fell in love with the daughter of the jailer while awaiting execution in the jail. Before execution, Valentine sent her a message signed “From Your Valentine”.
