How can a thing of nature belong to any one belief, religion or sect? Om is a universal cosmic phenomenon. Not only Hinduism but Christianity and many other beliefs talk about it.

Yes there is a key to its correct working and it is that the sound or vibration generated by continuously reciting the word ‘OM’ acts as a carrier wave only and it will carry your thoughts to the other side viz. the subtle plane of existence in other words to the destination of all mantras, and that destination is your subconscious and the over-self.

In other worlds any kind of negative thoughts then that is what your carrier sound of ‘OM’ will carry to your sub conscious and over-self and also radiate all around a message of utter negative energy. And believe it or not whatever you give out comes back to you as a boomerang.
If you are a careful person and desire other’s betterment and own spiritual development then give more importance to your thoughts than to the correct pronunciation of Om. Well of course the correct pronunciation of Om is important, but what you transmit during recitation sessions carries still greater importance. I am pointing this out because I have not come across many who know the truth about the success of the Om Mantra and how it can harm your own development by giving your negative thoughts a potent mode of transport. You may magnify your negative thoughts and create more and more obstacles in your path.
