Kaal sarpa Yoga behind Margaret Thatcher’s Success

Activation of her birth chart houses 4th to 10th under Rahu-Ketu axis gave the ‘Iron Lady’ fierce determination and unyielding will towards her profession.

Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher was born as Margaret Hilda Roberts on 13th October 1925, in Grantham, England. She served as the prime minister of England from 1979 to 1990.

Attracted to Research work in Chemistry

Because of her Venus occupying a watery sign of Scorpio in the 8th house she was attracted to research work at Dartford after she earned a degree in chemistry in 1947 during the main period of Venus.

The author has observed that Venus in watery signs viz. Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces gives interest in Chemistry. Since Venus in her birth chart occupies the 8th house of deep thought she was attracted to research work.

Success in Politics

Rahu aspecting her 10th house gave her interest and greater success in politics particularly during the main period of Rahu, which lasted from June 1970 to June 1988. It was in Rahu’s main period that she served as the Prime Minister of United Kingdom.

Kaal sarpa Yoga behind her Success

In her birth chart the Kaalsarpa Yoga formed due to Rahu in the 4th house and Ketu in the 10th house is known in Vedic astrology as the Shankhpaal Kaalsarpa Yoga.

Because of the houses 4th to 10th and all planets falling in these under the Rahu-Ketu axis it gave dynamism to these houses:

The 4th House: Gave her success in studies.

The 5th House: Gave her good and bright intellect.

The 6th House: Due to presence of the ascendant lord Mars and the Sun gave her energy and courage to overcome difficulties.

The 7th House: Exalted Saturn supported her bold political decisions and actions (10th House) and gave her favorable results (11th House).

The 8th House: Interest in research work, deep thoughts etc.

The 9th House: Success in higher studies and strong righteous character.

The 10th House: Successful career.

In her second term, from 1983 to 1987 during the main period of Rahu she handled a number of conflicts and crises, the most shaking of which may have been the assassination attempt against her in 1984.

In a plot by the Irish Republic Army, she was meant to be killed by a bomb planted at the venue of a conference in Brighton (England) in 1984. She was unharmed and had courage for continuing the conference and gave a speech the following day. At that time she was running the sub-sub-period of Saturn in the sub-period of Venus in the main period of Rahu (Ra/Ve/Sa).

Rahu forming the Kaalsarpa Yoga and aspecting her 8th house of death proved a saviour for her. In her horoscope both Venus and Rahu fall in the constellations of Saturn. Saturn in her birth chart is exalted and governs her houses of profession and gains.
