A Call for Women around the World on Women’s Day

Women’s day is a famous international festival which is celebrated worldwide on 8th March of every year.

Women's day

The women’s of all countries, castes, languages and culture come together to celebrate this day. It is the day to remember those women who made tireless efforts to give women rights.

On this day, special events are held across the country in which women are awarded for their contribution to the society.

Rape is a global issue and exists not only in under developed and developing countries but also in developed countries. In India every 20 minutes a woman is raped, very bad, but what you say about the most developed and powerful nation, I mean the US where every 6.2 minutes a woman is raped???

You may wonder why I am calling women in this serious matter in which mainly men are responsible.

Women are very powerful and can easily influence men and help in making them more human towards women.

I salute women throughout the world on this International Women’s Day on 8th March 2014! I request them to read this article and play their role effectively in this regard.

Well men throughout the world stand behind women as sons, brothers, husbands or fathers. So if a man as police officer, doctor, lawyer or judge fails to do his duty in protecting a women or in providing security or justice to those in distress then the woman or women directly linked with that man need to persuade and motivate that man to honestly execute his duty and help in removing this blot on humanity.

I am sure that women can play a pivotal role in awakening the men in positions of authority who can then effectively help in protecting the women.

There are four authorities which are connected in this matter. These are Police officers, Doctors, Lawyers and Judges and last but most important the Society:

Police Officers…

Many cases of crime against women can be prevented if police plays its crucial role in providing vigilance and security to vulnerable women and at vulnerable places.

But more serious issues arise if after this crime takes place and police officers behave in inhuman way and either do not register a complaint or put pressure on the victim to withdraw her complaint or harass the victim and her parents unnecessarily.

So if your Son, brother or husband is a police officer then take an oath from him for doing his duty honestly and help the victim and not those who committed crime against her.

Doctors…

After facing police the next person where the victim goes for medical treatment is a doctor. Survey reveals clearly that proper and confidential medical care at such times is rarest than rare. In most cases Doctors behave in a inhuman way and increase the victims problems by further harassment, delay and not preserving vital medical evidence.

A conscientious and kind doctor should not only give immediate medical treatment to help the victim but should also collect and preserve vital medical evidence which can later help the victim in getting justice.

So if your Son, brother or husband is a Doctor then take an oath from him for doing his duty honestly and help the victim and not those who committed crime against her.

Lawyers and Judges…

Suppose the police officers and doctors did their job honestly and in favor of the victim then come the role of lawyers and judges who can put the criminals behind bars, which in turn will set a deterrent for other rapists/criminals.

As per available surveys and research many Lawyers and in particularly government lawyers not only harass the victim, but even put pressure on the victim to withdraw her case or fail to honestly pursue the case in order to get the victim justice.

So if your Son, brother or husband is a Lawyer or Judge then take an oath from him for doing his duty honestly and help the victim and not those who committed crime against her.

The Society….

We all are members of society in general and it is really sad to see in so many cases of rape and other crimes against women that people make the victim’s life miserable after she is raped.

What is the victim’s fault?

After such a serious incident her life is already ruined and she needs much more sympathy and unconditional love as well as care than before. So let us all men and women as members of society take an oath to act conscientiously in all such cases and help in reducing victim’s sufferings as also in eliminating such crimes from the face of earth.
