Atal-Bihari-Vajpayee

The late Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) He was born on 25th December 1924.He was a statesman who served as the Prime Minister of India on two occasions; first for 13 days in 1996 and then from 1998 to 2004.

The birth anniversary of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee viz. 25th December is declared by the government to be celebrated as ‘good governance day’.

Does Chart of India Promise Good Governance?

Following is the astrological chart of the time when on 26th January 1950 India declared an independent democratic country.

Good-Governance -Chart
The Government, President and Prime Minister: These three main pillars of the country’s governance are represented by the Sun. The Sun falls in the constellation of the 5th lord the Moon. But the Sun occupies the sign Capricorn of its enemy Saturn which represents the civil servants and industry.

Also the Sun associates with debilitated Jupiter and the later represents general moral values and advisors to head of state. It also signifies the 9th house of morality, progress and development.

The Sun also associates with retrograde Venus and the later represents business establishments, agreements and resources.

In view of the above conditions present in India’s chart, irrespective of the personal characters of the persons representing the heads of state and government at any time, they are under negative influences of low morality, selfishness and influence of large business establishments etc.

General Conditions: The 1st house representing the conditions and government is occupied by malefic Rahu in the sign of its enemy Jupiter. Rahu represents Manipulations, deceit, greed, lust, selfishness and lies.

Political Stability: The 6th house of political stability is occupied by retrograde and malefic Saturn. Since Saturn rules the 11th house of income and the 12th house of financial losses and expenditure. Political immorality resulting in undue disruptions of parliamentary affairs heavily burdens the nation with huge financial losses.

The Parliament: The 10th house representing the parliament and governance is occupied by retrograde and malefic Mercury which represents strategists and advisors to heads of state. It also signifies communal harmony and stock exchange. So the parliament frequently becomes a scene of undue agitations, disruptions and indecent behaviour.

Concluding the Results

Because of the above described negative influences the chart of India indicates low probability of good governance.

But it needs to be emphasised that all astrological indications are always only probabilities.

Presently India is running the main period (Maha-dasha) of Jupiter which started in June 2011 and shall last till June 2027.

Negative Astrological Indications are not Fatalistic rather God’s Call to Awaken.

When negative indications are present in an individual’s chart then overcoming these depends solely upon the strength of determination and right efforts of that individual.
Since each person himself or herself is the master of his or her destiny negative indications can be overpowered.

But when negative indications are present in the mundane chart of a country then collective effort is needed.

Good governance can be realised through high moral characters of leaders and collective efforts of masses.

Both of these are missing in the present day scenario in India.

There is probability of some positive transformation from June 2018 onwards during the sub-period (Antar-dasha) of Ketu.
