What the Mystics say …
Incense burning can raise the vibrations of a place. By raising the vibrations means those who are within that space can easily uplift their consciousness to higher or subtler realms.
Not the materially bound scientists, but true sages, who could see and experience in the subtler realms extending beyond the limited three dimensional physicalworlds have revealed the true effects of burning incense. We need to have faith in our true sages. But the problem is there are many self-styled experts who take some original information and mould it to suit their commercial interests. So in this way lot of original esoteric knowledge is available today in much distorted form and the poor common man can not differentiate between right and wrong.
Some important points …
Experiment with different brands of incense available in the market and discover which suits you more, then continue with that one.
Use always only thick sticks as thick as practically possible. Thin sticks produce thin, week notes where as thick sticks produce full bodied soothing notes of vibrations. It is same as in music our ears do not like irritable thin shrilly notes for long.
Aggarbatis are no good except giving fragrant smoke; it does not carry any spiritual benefits. Also never use any shape other than cylindrical. Avoid using shapes such as cones, pyramids or coils etc.
Regularly burning incense at a place will lift up the vibrations of that place and you will feel spiritually uplifted in that space. In that area you will be able to easily meditate deeply. The peaceful soothing effect of that space will improve your health and give you mental composure.
In case you suffer from any respiratory problems then you need to exercise common sense and avoid direct intake of smoke if it harms you.
