The year begins with Mercury in reverse in Capricorn, tested by a hard aspect from Mars, also running backwards in Leo. There'll be a stuttering start to communications and, somehow or other, money will be at the core, especially joint finances or credit obligations. It'll be easy to blow your stack or jump the wrong way under pressure so just take things as calmly as you can. Double check arrangements or situations and see where you stand. You may lose contact with an important fiscal link or you may not get the info you need. It may just be that things don't work according to the plan or schedule and you'll have to go back over what's gone wrong and put it right. There may be tricky or testing relations with people that have power or control over your money. Mercury turns direct on January 15 and then emerges from the retrograde shadow on February 4.
The busy messenger's second reverse motion cycle begins on April 18, in the sign of Taurus and your solar twelfth house. Watch for confusion, distraction or just a tendency to lose the plot or phase out. You will be absorbed by inner events or concerns, bringing confusion or misunderstandings over arrangements or communications. It'll be easy to get the wrong end of the stick, especially if you're worried or preoccupied. You can enjoy a bit of creative exploration or experimentation at this point. You may mull over what you need to spice up your spiritual life. Just make sure you manage to integrate these revelations or realizations with the simple process of tying your shoes, navigating traffic and not tripping over the furniture. You may emerge from this period with insight or a new resolve. Keep an eye on minor health concerns, especially if neglect, fatigue or inattention is involved. The third reverse motion cycle for Mercury begins on August 20 and comes in the sign of Virgo and your solar fourth house. There will be delays, confusion, problems with power or appliances or difficulty with communication in or around the home base or family. Method and precision will assist at some level of prevention but it will be important to prepare by servicing machines or vehicles on which home life is dependent. A health or work matter will disrupt domestic life or routines. It'll be hard to make schedules meet or get the normal run of things taken care of. There may be disputes or a bit of angst with family members. Differences over the way people do things or approach things may be at the core of it. Work patiently through the detail of whatever doesn't or hasn't worked and things will soon be back on track. Don't fly off the handle or spit the dummy and, as the messenger moves forward on September 12, the mood and management in the domicile will begin to improve. September 27 will excise you from the retrograde shadow.
Mercury's last round for 2010 all but counts out the year, as the busy messenger hits reverse in Capricorn on December 10, churning up the facts and figures of a fiscal nature where credit or joint monies are concerned. Things will not go according to schedule. You may find yourself at odds over finance, on the receiving end of an error or you may be caught out committing one, by design or default. A plan or scheme you're involved in will not be going according to Hoyle and you'll have to revise or review your efforts or strategies as a consequence. A joint relationship may not be what you hoped with regard to fruitfulness or cooperation. Stand back and look at what needs to be done. The mood will turn to partnership matters as Mercury returns to Sagittarius on December 18. Discuss, review differences with others and work to sort out what's gone wrong (if anything) and why! A little vision with a dose of humour will help to get things back on track or contribute to the right decision as Mercury moves forward on December 30.

Delay, restriction or the actions or situation of someone older or infirm will affect your domestic or family circumstances. You'll have to take sharp action to get a matter in hand but you'll have to be careful about impatience or feisty verbals. You will need to set a new plan in motion, one that somehow goes against or countermands an older one. Be light on your feet but serious about what needs to be done. Is there and issue with renovation or repair in the domicile or the family group? If you're undertaking a project or a responsibility, think 'long term' and be aware of the consequences. Take care with safety or health at home in the ensuing weeks. Focus on what needs doing.
Your Full Moon is on December 21, bringing a total Lunar Eclipse. There'll be a pattern, an image or a style of presentation that ends or hits a wave of disruption. A relationship or involvement will be marked for change. A separation will ensue, either final or a temporary break. It's a cyclical end in personal communications and you'll have to reflect on whether style, content or the real juice of contact was among the reasons for this demise. You'll stop an involvement because you've had enough or because a journey has run its course. A close companion will be off, away or out of sorts. If it's a natural or anticipated break, let it be. A New Moon and a Solar Eclipse comes in Capricorn and your solar eighth house on January 15. With Venus also involved in this blocking of the light, there could be a temporary or even permanent hitch or glitch with financial involvements or joint obligations. Be sure that all is working well with timing and payment schedules. There may be an interruption or an end with a fiscal connection or situation. You will be at the end of a run or the bottom may fall out of a scheme or venture. You may struggle to cover a payment and find that you have to pull funds from somewhere else. On the erotic side, there may be a break or a change with the steamier relations in your life. Line up personal spending and credit or mortgage demands and see where the gap will fall or the shot miss the target.
