Scorpio Monthly Horoscope For August 2012

Reluctant Hero

You may feel like a reluctant hero as the Aquarius Full Moon on August 2nd in your 4th house of home and family opposes your 10th house of career and public standing. You've got what it takes to make a difference at work and even in the political arena now, even if you'd much rather spend time at home with your loved ones! Try to find the right balance between your public life and your private life as different opportunities come to you.

If you are celebrating Lammas, it's a good idea to invite powerful, influential people to join in as they are more likely to notice you now. The Leo New Moon on August 17th is a good time to start a new position or project... you will be in the spotlight! After the Sun enters Virgo and your 11th house of friends and associates on August 22nd, you should have all the support you need. The idealistic Pisces Full Moon on August 31st shines in your 5th house of pleasure and creativity. Single Scorps could meet a soul mate, while partnered Scorpions should enjoy a romantic evening out.

Mercury Direct

Mercury turns direct in Leo and your 10th house of career and authority figures on August 8th, getting you back on track in the office and in the public eye. When Mercury first went retrograde on July 15th, you may have had trouble getting your voice heard above the crowd. Hopefully, you have been able to uncover the reasons behind the confusion and can now move forward, clearing up any misconceptions. At the end of the month, Mercury and Saturn blend to help you intuitively understand the best choices for yourself as you plan your next career move.

Enriching

During the first week of August, Venus in Gemini and your 8th house of other people's resources helps to make sure you have what you need, generously provided by others. After August 7th, the Goddess of Love moves into family-loving Cancer and your 9th house of travel and higher education, making this a time of intellectual enrichment.

This could also be a potentially romantic month as Venus harmonizes with higher octave Neptune in Pisces and your 5th house of pleasure and creativity. Someone you meet now could have a deeply spiritual connection to you. August 15th may prove to be somewhat intense as authoritarian Pluto in Capricorn clashes with nurturing Venus... if you have strong opinions on something, remember that you won't be able to get people to agree with you through force. You could also find that tensions between siblings, neighbors, and or in-laws could be intense. Use humor to diffuse any anger!

Holding Back

Although you have plenty of reason to move ahead this month, part of you is holding back as Mars moves through Libra and your 12th house of hidden matters and endings. Over the past two years or so, Saturn in your 12th house has signaled the end of certain situations, relationships, and beliefs that are no longer viable in your life. Soon, Saturn will enter your 1st house of personality and a new cycle will begin, perhaps one that has you in a position of responsibility and authority.

However, for now you will still be dealing with unconscious motivations, hidden enemies, and the need to clear the slate before the new cycle begins. Fortunately, when Mars joins Saturn around August 15th, you should be able to have a clear vision of how you want to proceed. After August 23rd, Mars enters Scorpio and your 1st house of personality, helping you to set goals and embark on strategies that will help you to manifest your dreams.

Pluto Uranus Square

The Pluto-Uranus Square that the world is experiencing on and off through 2015 makes itself more personally felt around August 26th, when the Capricorn Moon sets off tension between what you think you should do and what your body can actually handle. Unpredictable Uranus in your 6th house of health and service clashes with demanding Pluto in your 3rd house of communication, and something has to give!

Be especially careful when driving or operating machinery as accidents are more likely to happen when you are stressed out and overwhelmed. Arguments might break out among co-workers, so watch out for verbal shrapnel. Also, keep a close eye on your pets as they may be more susceptible to accidents and injuries during this time frame. If you can make sensible compromises and delegate certain jobs to others, you should be able to lessen your load and be even more effective at what you do.
